{COMMO} 5.3 for the HP 95LX June 20, 1992
{COMMO} (tm) is a Telecommunications Program that offers great power, speed
and flexibility in a small, easy-to-use package.
IMPORTANT! This archive is a supplement for users of the Hewlett Packard HP
95LX palmtop computer. You must also obtain the {COMMO} standard release 5.3
archive which contains the user manuals and other important files. It is
usually archived as COMMO53.ZIP (COMMO.ZIP in the HPSYS forum on CompuServe).
See INSTAL95.DOC and EXM.DOC for instructions on installing {COMMO} on your HP
95LX.
{COMMO} for the HP 95LX is identical to the standard release with the
following exceptions:
1) There is a modification to the serial port handler to compensate for a
hardware defect in the 95LX serial port.
2) A special terminal emulation option "H" can be selected to cause terminal
data to wrap at 40 columns.
2) Some display windows have been modified and moved to the upper left
corner to compensate for the 40 column screen.
3) Some command keys have been changed to compensate for the lack of these
keys on the 95LX. Refer to Online Help (as supplied in this package) for
a complete list of default command keys.
{COMMO} is Shareware. Please see REGISTER.FRM, COMMO.DOC or MACRO.DOC for
complete pricing and ordering information (I am now accepting payment by
CREDIT CARD). Registration allows you to eliminate the opening advertisement
and to personalize your copy of the program. Guidelines for SHAREWARE
DISTRIBUTORS are given in the file VENDOR.DOC. Sample site and distribution
agreements are contained in the file LICENSE.DOC.
IMPORTANT: Do you have the latest {COMMO} releases? There may have been new
features added since this version was released. See below for details on
getting the latest release.
This package should contain the following files. Notice that files that are
common to the standard release have a "95" in the filenames (to prevent
accidental overwriting on your PC). Be sure that these files are renamed
without the "95" when they are received on your 95LX (see INSTAL95.DOC).

Special thanks to Mark Scardina (CompuServe ID: 71551,467) for helping to
prepare the HP 95LX files. Mark was the driving force behind this version of
{COMMO} and did much of the work on the following:
1) Finding the workarounds necessary to make {COMMO} work on the 95LX.
2) Reformatting the support files for the 40 column screen.
3) Producing the loader for running under System Manager.
4) Organizing the beta testing in the CompuServe HP Systems Forum (GO HPSYS).
